Children Safety and Welfare

Insurance Cover

All our players have a general accident insurance cover with a reputable insurance company against any accident incurred during training, while travelling or football tournaments. Our coaches are all trained in first aid courses and we also work closely with nearby health centers and St John Ambulance in our events to ensure quick access to health services by our players in cases of an incident.

Healthy Nutrition

Nutrition choices can support the health and performance of footballers: the type, quantity and timing of food, fluids and supplements consumed can influence players’ performance and recovery during and between matches. To this end we encourage a healthy nutrition for our players and work with experts to closely monitor our players vitals, nutrition choices as well as general lifestyle approaches. We encourage our parents and guardians to adopt healthy nutrition choices at a family level in support of their children.

Children Welfare Policy

Phoenix FC Academy acknowledges its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of every child and young person who has been entrusted to its care and is committed to working to provide a safe environment for all members.

We acknowledge that every child or young person who plays football at Phoenix should be able to take part in an enjoyable and safe environment and has a right to be protected from abuse.

Alongside their coaching qualifications, our coaches will regularly be trained on children safety and welfare to ensure that they remain sensitive to this important aspect of our program.

We encourage our parents and guardians to regularly seek feedback from their children on the treatment received from our coaching staff and report any negative feedback with immediate effect.

All suspicions and allegations of abuse will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately.
